KUCHING: The Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) has announced that the road leading to Semenggo Bridge, Jalan Datuk Mohd Musa Samarahan, will be closed to begin upgrading work on the dilapidated bridge (demolish and reconstruct).
Road users are advised to be cautious when driving along the road and to use an alternate route which is a new bridge adjacent to it until the upgrading work is completed.
The upgrading work will last from Dec 24 to Aug 23, 2023.
According to Sarawak JKR in a statement, it will inform from time to time of any changes to the date, time and areas involved in the maintenance work.
Road users are also recommended to plan their journeys ahead of time, especially in affected areas.
“We apologise for any inconveniences caused,” said Sarawak JKR.
