KUCHING: The long-standing parking problems that have inconvenienced numerous patients and led to traffic congestion in the Mile 7 area are set to be eased through the Rural Transformation Project (RTP).

Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap has successfully secured RM250,000 in funding for the construction of an additional 50 parking spaces at Klinik Kesihatan Kota Sentosa.

“The Padawan Municipal Council has been designated as the overseeing agency for this critical project. These new parking facilities will include proper entry and exit points, effectively addressing the persistent traffic inconveniences experienced by the community in the Mile 7 area when seeking medical care at the clinic.”

He made this announcement during a meeting with officers from various government agencies held on Tuesday (Sept 19) to discuss the construction of these additional parking spaces.

As the chairperson of a coordination meeting on Sept 18, which involved representatives from the Padawan Municipal Council, Klinik Kesihatan Kota Sentosa, and the Sarawak Health Department, Yap has made a commitment to tackle the various infrastructure challenges in Kota Sentosa.
