KUCHING: Two state non-governmental organisations (NGOs) lodged a police report against Zool Amali Hussin or ‘Bozz Jebat’, at the Gita police station last night (Feb 28).

The NGOs are Persatuan Warisan Anak Sarawak (Waris) Kuching and Persatuan Kebajikan Sahabat Pembina Insan Sarawak (Sahabat) Kuching.

The decision to file the report came after Zool, a former UMNO member, launched insults against Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing in a six-minute video clip, which has since gone viral on social media.

Allizan Mohammed, representing Waris Kuching, explained that the report was prompted by Zool’s blatant disrespect towards the Premier, which has deeply angered many Sarawakians.

“As Sarawakians, when someone disrespects our Premier, of course, we are very angry and we want action to be taken against him,” he said.

Mohd Rizuan, representing Sahabat Kuching, echoed a similar sentiment and expressed his dismay at Zool’s derogatory remarks towards Abang Johari.

“We are very angry because he (Abang Johari) is like a father to us in Sarawak and we love him dearly,” he said.

The police report aims to urge the authorities to take necessary action against Zool, who has caused widespread outrage with his inflammatory comments.
