KUCHING: For this year ’s Go Bold, the Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS) is targeting to raise another RM1 million with a total of 1,200 head shaves in total for Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu, and Miri. According to SCCS president, Jocelyn Hee, this will be tenth edition of the campaign which aims to show support for children battling cancer as well as to raise funds.

“Year after year, our young fighters see the videos of the main events across Sarawak; people all coming together to Go bald to show their support and it means a lot to them.

“For children, hair loss following chemotherapy is one of the most frightening aspects of cancer treatment.

“The act of going bald by members of the public shows them that it’s okay for them to lose their hair as they walk the path towards recovery,” she said during the launch at SCCS, Jalan Desa Wira here yesterday.
