KUCHING: The Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) has presented a cheque for RM134,920 to SJK Sam Hap Hin, Jalan Liu Shan Bang, Kota Sentosa.

Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap said this contribution would significantly enhance the learning environment by funding the purchase of new tables and chairs for the teachers and students, installation of Unifi and repairs of the school’s walkway.

“SJK Sam Hap Hin is a Catholic mission school and through the hard work and effort of its School Management Board and teachers has consistently shown dedication to providing a nurturing and productive educational experience for all its multicultural and multireligious students from the surrounding 7th Mile area.

“The partnership between mission schools and Sarawak government through UNIFOR reflects the shared vision of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) to empower the next generation with the resources they need for a brighter future,” said Yap in a statement today (Dec 27).

Yap said the UNIFOR grant to the school reflected GPS’ dedication and commitment to creating a positive impact and supporting the community of Kota Sentosa.
