ROBAN: It is really sad to see the conditions of schools especially in the rural areas of the state.

Kabong Assemblyman Mohd Chee Kadir said schools in rural areas especially in the Kabong district are still bad due to limited facilities.

“These schools need more financial allocations and attention from the government,” he said.

Chee Kadir however acknowledged that the government through the Ministry of Education is working tirelessly to bring closer the educational gap between rural and urban schools.

“It is important for schools to have good and proper facilities and infrastructures to provide a comfortable and conducive learning experience for the students.

“Good and proper facilities and infrastructures can motivate our students to achieve success and excellence in their academic and co-curricular activities,” said Chee Kadir during the presentation ceremony of Yayasan Sarawak school uniform vouchers to 10 pupils and presentation of a cheque to the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) of Chung Hua (SJKC) Roban, here yesterday.
