Meanwhile, Mohd Karim said Azhan Azmi, 37, possesses keen financial skills and extensive experience in integrating financial functions in driving commercial growth, which are key requisites for the chief financial officer role.
“With his proven track-record and knowledge of the organisation, he will serve us well as we chart a path of growth in Malaysia and globally,” he said.
He was the group financial controller since 2017 and has vast experience dealing with stakeholders in relation to the series of regulatory, compliance and corporate exercises undertaken by the group since then.
Among others, Azhan Azmi was entrusted to engage, on behalf of the group, with the principal bankers, analysts, auditors, consultants, shareholders and regulators, in particular the Securities Commission of Malaysia and Bursa Malaysia.
Azhan Azmi obtained his Bachelor of Accounting in 2005 from IIUM. He has been a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants since 2009 and a member of the Malaysia Institute of Certified Public Accountant since 2018. “Azhan Azmi began his career with Khairuddin Hasyudeen & Razi in 2005 and later joined KPMG in the same year and served until 2009.
