KUALA LUMPUR: National women’s doubles shuttler, Anna Cheong Ching Yik hopes to return to full training sessions within the next two months.

Anna said she was pleased with her recovery process after suffering from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury on her right knee last October.

“Everything is slowly getting better and I just hope it (recovery process) goes smoothly.

“Now I am back on court more but I cannot rush, I don’t want to put too much burden on my legs. I have increased intensity (training) but not to the full level yet,” she said when met at a training session, here.

While admitting that the fear of being hit by injury is still lingering on her mind, she believed that spending more time on court to regain her confidence would definitely help her to ward off such negative thoughts.

Anna, who formed a partnership with Teoh Mei Xing, was also glad to receive moral support from her teammates to help her weather difficult times.
