SIBU: A delegation from Sarakup Indu Dayak Sarawak (SIDS) led by its president Datuk Alice Jawan paid a visit to Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Serdang, Selangor last weekend.
During the visit, the delegation discussed with the university’s vice-chancellor Prof Datin Paduka Aini on the proposed Dayak Women Research Chair.
According to Alice, the meeting with Prof Aini was fruitful and they looked forward to working with UPM on research in various aspects of leadership, economics, entrepreneurship and others.
After the meeting, members of the delegation had a meeting over lunch with Prof Dr Jayum Jawan and Prof Dr Rusea Go, two Iban professors of the university.
