SIBU: Sibu Journalists Association (SJA), Sibu Resident Office Rando Club and Sibu Hospital Blood Bank will jointly hold a blood donation campaign on 26 August.
Speaking at a press conference at Sibu Resident Office last Friday, Sibu Resident Hii Chang Kee said the campaign would be held at Star Mega Mall (Orange Zone) from 9.00am to 2.00pm.
He said the objective of the campaign was to replenish Sibu Hospital blood bank stock.
“We are targeting about 50 to 70 blood donors. We hope the public will come and support this event,” he said.
Meanwhile, SJA vice president, Earl Anek said the blood donation campaign was part of the association’s social responsibilities.
Also present at the press conference were SJA president, Watt Zachaeus, treasurer, Yii Souk Ming, Sibu Resident office Rando Club treasurer and secretary, Louis Yeo and Saleha.
