SERIAN: A total of 20 students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Tebakang who achieved 5As and above in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination have received educational incentives from the school’s parent-teacher association (PTA).

Patrick Mandon, Planning Sector deputy education officer of the Serian Education Office, said that this initiative aims to foster motivation among students to strive for higher achievements.

“To the outstanding and less outstanding students, you have the right to continue your journey to success.

“Find new opportunities, whether in private or public higher education institutions.

“The future and your aspirations are in your hands, but make sure you choose the right course or field of study that is in demand,” he said at the SPM 2022 results announcement ceremony at Dewan Tebakang Hall here last Thursday (June 8).

During the event, Patrick noted that SMK Tebakang continues to be one of the top schools in Serian district, with an impressive record in the 2022 SPM examination.

“SMK Tebakang has successfully maintained its position with a school average grade (GPS) of 5.11, with 94.63 per cent qualifying for certification,” he added.

He said that the perseverance and hard work of the teachers and students had made this achievement possible.

He pointed out that the continuous support and guidance provided by the school administration also contributed to this success.
