LIMBANG: A few cars were spared from a fire after the Limbang Fire and Rescue department managed to extinguish a dumpster fire yesterday.
The incident that occurred in front of a food shop in Jalan Buangsiol caught the attention of patrons.
State Fire and Rescue department acting deputy director Tiong Ling Hii said the fire caused huge smoke and an unpleasant smell emanated from it.
“The firefighters received an emergency call on 12.34pm and despatched their personnel to the location.
“They managed to extinguish the fire in just a few minutes,” he said, adding it brought relief to those who had parked their cars near the dumpster.
