KUCHING: Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) will carry out a spring cleaning in preparation for the upcoming Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Chinese New Year festivities from December 21 to January 25, 2020.
The council is also urging residents who are busy preparing for the festivities to dispose of their waste responsibly.
“The public is urged to keep their neighbourhood areas clean while any extra waste should be packed and disposed of properly into the additional bins or Roll-On-Roll-Off (RoRo) containers provided for bulky waste disposal.
“These RoRo containers are available for use at various areas during certain periods to accommodate the three festivities.”
For the 3rd Mile Market, 7th Mile (next to 688 Store), and 10th Mile Market, RoRo containers will be available from December 21 to 31 and then from January 18 to 25, 2020.
While at RPR Batu Kawa Lorong 28A (shoplot carpark), the containers will be available from December 21 to 25 and then January 2 to 5, 2020.
At Malihah (near H&L), they will be available for use from December 21 to 25 followed by January 6 to 9, 2020.
For Kuching City Mall (new shoplot carpark near roundabout), the RoRo containers will be available from December 21 to 25, then from January 10 to 13, 2020.
At the Batu Kawa New Township/MJC refuse bin centre (Blocks Dd and Ae) as well as Lee Ling temporary hawker centre, the containers will be available from December 21 to 25 and then from January 18 to 25, 2020.
At the Taman Flora Indah refuse bin centre, they will be available from December 21 to 25 and then from January 14 to 17, 2020. Moyan Square (Lorong Puteri 1, near Yuan Wei Seafood), Rantau Panjang (beside SJKC Rantau Panjang), Taman Kwong Tiong (next to the playground), and Batu Kawa Old Bazaar (open space opposite roundabout) will have RoRo containers available from January 18 to 21, 2020.
