SIMANGGANG: Sri Aman Resident Abang Mohamad Porkan Abang Budiman has stressed the importance of maintaining reliable, effective, and productive work methods within the division’s administrative team.
Stressing that the success or failure of government policies depends on civil servants, he called on everyone to provide professional support and loyalty to the ruling government.
“In shouldering the future of the government elected by the people, civil servants must be identified by their reliable, trustworthy, and efficient work methods to fulfill their assigned duties and responsibilities.
“Such a work culture not only reflects the identity of excellent civil servants but also increases the confidence of the people in the government’s performance,” Abang Mohamad said during the Sri Aman Division’s Goodwill Appreciation Ceremony here on Monday (Feb 26).
Emphasising the values of integrity and quality, he highlighted the recent observance of Corruption Free Pledge Day on Feb 14 by the administrative staff of the Sri Aman Division.
Abang Mohamad expressed the goal of instilling the values of integrity and quality, aligning with the division’s efforts toward achieving the MS ISO 9001:2015 certification.
“As a joint reminder, the value of integrity requires all levels of officers to be thorough and transparent in performing their duties,” he said, adding that an orderly system of control, supervision, and review, along with strong competence at all levels, is crucial.
He stressed the need for consistency in these practices to identify and address any issues affecting management at an early stage.
The event also celebrated the service of former Deputy Resident Elvis Didit, who moved to the Sarawak Ministry of Transport after four years of dedicated service in Sri Aman Division.
The administration welcomed his successor, Charlie Keling, who assumed office on Feb 19.
