SRI AMAN: Sri Aman Division’s preparations for the ‘Kembara Kenali Borneo’ royal convoy led by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah are in the final stages.

Resident of Sri Aman Division, Abang Mohamad Porkan gave the briefing to Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dauglas Uggah Embas during his visit here recently to see for himself the preparations for the programme.

Their Majesties and entourage are expected to arrive here at 12 noon on Sept 12 and they will proceed to the mosque for a meal and perform the Zohor prayer.

After that, the Agong’s convoy will visit Fort Alice before leaving for Kuching.

In the meantime, Uggah called on the community in Sri Aman Division to come together and march along the road by waving the national flags as a sign of the people of Sarawak welcoming the arrival of the Yang Dipertuan Agong to Sri Aman.
