KUCHING: Sarawak’s social harmony and unity are bolstered by well knitted connections among the people, said Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.

He stressed the significance of sustaining Sarawak’s unity during the ‘Majlis Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri Persatuan Anak Jati Lawas 2022’ at Imperial Hotel here, on Tuesday.

“Festivities are celebrated together, regardless of race.

“They strengthen people’s friendships and allowing the society to live in peace.

“I’m grateful that we’re able to celebrate this milestone together today after two years of staying at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” he pointed out.

The Minister of International Trade and Investment went on to say that knowledge and skills are essential for a society’s ability to contribute to development.

On another note, he stated that the state government is in the process of obtaining land for the new Lawas airport.
