SIMANGGANG: Members of Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) of Brayun Hulu/Sri Jaya took part in a gotong royong cleaning programme, on Saturday.
The programme was held in collaboration with Sri Aman District Council (MDSA), to clean an open space behind the market and Sri Jaya apartment.
Assistant Minister of Community Wellbeing, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis took part in the programme.
Harden thanked all those present for taking the time and cooperation from all parties including Mercu Rhythm Company which provided an excavator for the cleaning process.
“Such programmes provide useful benefits to the community in cultivating the values of hygiene as well as creating good landscape for the town.
“The presence of the public can also strengthen the bond of brotherhood as a community that needs each other,” the Simanggang assemblyman said.
