Students off to dance competitions, performances

KUCHING: Twenty-five students of Teh C Special dance group from SJK Chung Hua No.4 here will be participating in dance competitions and performances in Kuala Lumpur.

According to Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii, the team  left for Kuala Lumpur yesterday morning.

“Early this morning, I went to the airport to send off the team,” Dr Yii said.

“During their five-day “Dance Study Tour”, the students will carry out a series of competitions, performances and exchanges in Kuala Lumpur and Kuantan,” he said  in a  Facebook post.  

He added that the students came from  various ethnic groups;  the youngest was a Primary One student.

“Upon the school’s request, I was very happy to sponsor the cost of the trip. In addition to wishing them excellent results in the competition, I also hope that they will broaden their horizons through this trip and gain a lot from the dance exchange,” Dr Yii said.
