BINTULU: Members of Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) need to focus on developing the state regardless of their different backgrounds.

SUPP secretary-general Datuk Sebastian Ting stressed that unity and cooperation with each other is therefore very important.

Ting said with hard work, sacrifices and leadership, SUPP would be able to continue the state’s mission for its people.

“In this regard, I believe that we are in the mainstream. Let us together develop our new economy, digital economy and green economy,” he said at the 60th Anniversary ceremony of SUPP Bintulu Branch, recently.

Ting, who is also Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (Tourism) also congratulated Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang for wresting the state seat from the opposition in the 12th State Election.

He believes that in the next five years, Pang and his team will contribute a lot to the people in the Tanjong Batu constituency.

“The future of Sarawak needs the cooperation of everyone and I am confident that Pang’s team  will be able to work together to realise Sarawak’s aspiration to become a developed state by 2030.”
