Muhyiddin and PN likely to win hands down

KUCHING: A political analyst is predicting Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin and his PN coalition’s decisive victory in the next general elections.  Datuk Peter Minos said Malaysians are not blind and they can see that Muhyiddin is honest and sincere in wanting to save the nation and maintain stability. He also places integrity and honesty above all which Malaysians admire.  “Despite being constantly harassed and disturbed by his political opponents, Muhyiddin has kept his cool and calm.  “Plus, he handled the Covid-19 pandemic very well. He managed to keep the national economy afloat during these trying times. Furthermore, the economic situation is now on the mends and improving,” he said.  Minos said the prime minister has helped Malaysians badly affected by the pandemic in the best ways he could.  “He did not let criticisms by his political opponents distract him, and he never stopped working for the people and the country. All of us can see his efforts.  “There is indeed a lot of respect and admiration for Muhyiddin. People cannot be bothered about the attacks and criticisms against him. The more Muhyiddin is hit, the more Malaysian respect him. This is the reality and a fact,” he added.  Muhyiddin has openly said he wants to treat Sarawak and Sabah fairly and equitably, and this has won the hearts of the people from the Borneo states.  “Yes, Sabah and Sarawak appreciate the words of Muhyiddin, for it is no secret that the two states want to be equally treated and to be on par with Peninsular Malaysia.  “Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is thus giving full support to Muhyiddin. And Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg has said so and he is just expressing the true feelings of Sarawakians,” Minos said.  The political analyst felt that if a referendum were to be held now, there’s a high possibility that 70 percent of Malaysians would support Muhyiddin.

No compromise on Sarawak’s rights, interests

KUCHING: The country’s stability is equally important as Sarawak’s rights and interests can only be pursued if there exists a stable and legitimate federal administration.
