MIRI: The Taste of Borneo 2.0 carnival is a great representation of the region’s cultural heritage and arts.

Minister of Transport, Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin emphasised that this carnival stands out by highlighting a diverse range of authentic Borneo cuisine.

He added that the carnival also presents unique cultural and artistic programmes, setting it apart from other festivals and carnivals.

As such, the Senadin assemblyman expressed hope that this carnival will continue and become a significant annual event for Mirians.

“I sincerely hope that Taste of Borneo will carry on its legacy and make it an important event for the people of Miri.

“I believe it can contribute to the local economy and help further establish Miri’s reputation,” he said during the Star of Borneo Mandarin singing competition, a part of the carnival’s programme, at the Miri Indoor Stadium yesterday (Oct 22).

He commended the event’s organisation, which included participants from neighbouring countries.

Lee noted that this event serves as an excellent platform to introduce Miri to the world and showcase the vibrancy of ‘Miri Resort City’ to Malaysians beyond Miri’s borders.
