KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party’s (SUPP’s) Eric Tay Tze Kok is set to face Democratic Action Party (DAP) Dr Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen in a battle for Bandar Kuching.

The 44-year-old businessman pledged to do his best to win back Bandar Kuching which has been in the opposition’s hands for four consecutive terms.

“Bandar Kuching has always been a difficult seat (to win back), but I believe if we all work together, we can do it.

“This is for the future of all Sarawakians, so let’s fight back and win the seat,” he said on Thursday (Nov 3) when met at Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) headquarters.

As for being nominated as the candidate contesting for the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) in the 15th General Election (GE15), he expressed that he is deeply honoured for the opportunity.

For the record, Tay is one of the new faces fielded by the GPS and he is contesting for the first time.
