KUCHING: tHe Spring’s Live Active Run 2017 (SLAR 2017) will be flagged off from tHe Spring’s Premier Car Park on 9 July.
It has attracted more than 2,500 participants and the number is expected to increase over the next month as the deadline to sign up at the late registration rate ends on 9 June.
Runners who are interested in participating in SLAR 2017 can guarantee their place by signing up directly on the official event website, www.liveactiverun.com or for an even more convenient and stress-free option, they can manually register over tHe Spring’s Customer Service Counter with the assistance of the friendly Customer Service Team.
This year’s runners will stand a chance to earn a share of more than RM30,000 in prize money.
On top of that, the top 100 participants of the 21KM categories and top 50 participants of the 10KM categories that have made it to the finish line will each receive a Limited Edition Finisher Tee with an edgy design that comes in a unique gradient tone of fuschia pink to bright yellow.
Runners can look out for the bubbly and energetic MIX FM Radio Announcer and Fitness Personality, Linora Low on the big day as she takes over the stage to host the run as SLAR 2017 Ambassador.
It will be a bonus for the runners to meet her upclose and personal as they get to play interactive games onstage with Linora to take home awesome freebies.
Warming up the 5KM Course on event day are the famous faces from the local entertainment scenes such as YouTube vlogger Joyce Khoo and Radio Announcers from ERA fm, MY FM and hitz fm Sarawak.
SLAR 2017 will unveil more details on the runners’ programmes that will help the participants to prepare for the race in June.
The participating beneficiaries of SLAR 2017 are Persatuan Dialisis Cahaya Kuching, Hope Place Kuching and The Society for Kuching Urban Poor (SKUP).
The official partners of SLAR 2017 are Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia, Level Up Fitness, Revive, Rehab Concept, Timberland Medical Centre, Copyrunner and Redbull.
