Three-day KARVOTEK 2018 to be held from April 13

MIRI: Miri Vocational College is hosting the 21st Sarawak VokTek Zone Carnival which involves nine contingents, namely SM Teknik Sejingkat, KV Kuching, KV Matang, KV Betong, KV Sibu, KV Bintulu, JT Akademi Kuching, and PPKS Ilmu Kuching.

A total of 824 people consisting of 153 officers and 671 athletes have confirmed their participation in VokTek Carnival or its abbreviation KARVOTEK for three days begins April 13 to April 15, 2018.

Seven sports events are at stake to win the next championship title and the next overall champion will represent the Sarawak Zone to the national VokTek Carnival at Pahang. The National Youth Skills Institute, SMK Merbau, SK Merbau, SJK (C) Chung Hua, Petronas Petroliam Recreation Club, Miri Indoor Stadium and KV Miri field became the focused venue throughout the tournament.

The three-day tournament consists of sessions such as football, netball, volleyball, rugby, soccer, sepak takraw and trio bowling. Director of Miri Vocational College, Sherene Choo Siak Lan invites the public to enliven the 21st Sarawak VokTek Zone Carnival Adjournment which will take place at 3pm after the netball final at 2pm at Miri Indoor Stadium.

Piasau State Assemblyman, Datuk Sebastian Ting will be present at the launching of the Deferment Ceremony and the presentation of the flag of the tournament to host the 22nd VokTek Carnival of the 22nd year of 2019, SM Teknik Sejingkat.
