Three held for breaking into warehouse

MIRI: Three local men were arrested late Tuesday evening in connection with a break-in at a warehouse in Lorong Desa Senadin, Jalan Marigold last week.

The warehouse owner had told police that soft drinks, facial tissues and powdered infant formula worth around RM12,000 were stolen from the facility on Jan 10.

Police detained the trio, aged 23,  37 and 46 at two separate locations, said police chief ACP Hakemal Hawari, adding the first suspect was detained in front of an electrical shop along Jalan Miri-Bintulu.

The two other suspects were apprehended in front of a budget hotel along Jalan Airport.

During the arrest police also recovered several items believed stolen from the warehouse as well as house-breaking tools and also seized a lorry and a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle.
