KUCHING:  Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap was recently briefed by Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) on the completed detail drawings, specifications and breakdown of the bill of quantities for three Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects.

The three RTP projects valued at RM1,630,000 were approved by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg for the Kota Sentosa constituency.

Yap said the three approved RTP projects are scheduled for implementation soon.

“The first project is the drainage system upgrading works at 7th Mile costing RM1.1 million to alleviate flash food problems in the area.

“The second project is the Town Square upgrading and repairs costing RM500,000 through drawing of vote (cabut undi) by the Kuching Resident Office.

This project is important to give a new facelift as town squares are central places for the local communities to gather and organise events,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (Aug 29).

Yap said the third project is the upgrading and repair of toilet at the Taman Kelian Basketball Court costing RM30,000.

“I have requested MPP officers to expedite the delivery of the three RTP people-centric projects for the benefit of the public,” he said.

Yap stressed that he is committed to improve and upgrade infrastructure in his constituency.

“I am also committed to resolve all the numerous unresolved complaints and requests from the community for development systematically,” he said.
