Ting expresses gratitude to Sibu constituents

SIBU: Clarence Ting Ing Horh who contested under the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) ticket showcases his appreciation to the people despite losing in the Sibu parliamentary seat in the just concluded 15th general election (GE15).

Nangka assemblyman Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee in his Facebook post today (Nov 20) shared that he accompanied Ting to meet the people.

“This morning I went with P212 Sibu’s former candidate, Clarence Ting to express his gratitude to the people who have given him support during the election.

“Even though we are not given the mandate for both Lanang and Sibu, we will continue to work hard for the people in Sibu,” said the Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation, and Talent Development.

Dr Annuar also hopes that the elected MPs will serve Sibu well.

Dr Annuar and Ting are seen visiting Sibu Central Market and Bandong Walk area to meet the people.

The Sibu Municipal Council chairman lost the Sibu seat to Oscar Ling of Democratic Action Party (DAP), who successfully retained his seat in a three-cornered fight last Saturday.

Oscar Ling won with a 7,760 majority vote, garnering 31,287 votes to beat Ting who garnered 23,527 votes.

While Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) president Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh only managed to garner 11,128 votes.
