TM lends a helping hand to SMK Medamit

KUCHING: Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) has donated RM13,000 in cash to help rebuild SMK Medamit’s administration building which was destroyed in a fire.

TM Miri assistant manager Zulkarnain Hassim, who represented TM Sarawak general manager Jafer Sadig Abdul Lathiff handed over the cash contribution to SMK Medamit principal Raja Manikam at a simple ceremony held at the school. SMK Medamit is also one of TM’s adopted schools under its school adoption programme, which is part of TM’s corporate responsibility initiatives.

Commenting on the initiative, Jafer Sadig said: “We hope this contribution will help to alleviate the school’s burden of rebuilding its administration building and to buy the necessary office equipment.”

He added TM would continue to support and lend a helping hand to those in need in any way possible, including towards a nation-building cause through sustainable initiatives.

Members of the public can contribute to Tabung Bantuan Kebakaran SMK Medamit, which was launched via TM’s e-donation application called “Ensani”, available at https://download.ensani.my/.
