BAU: A three-year-old boy died after he allegedly fell from the second floor of a building in Siniawan on Sunday.
Bau police chief DSP Jawai Francis Kempas said that they had received information from Bau Hospital about the incident around 2.20 pm.
Initial investigations revealed that the mother, an Indonesian, had brought her son to her husband’s workplace at a construction site around 8.30 am.
“The mother was unaware that her son had fallen while she was helping her husband at work.
“Paramedics from the hospital confirmed that the boy died at the scene, and his remains were taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further procedures,” she said.
Preliminary examinations found no signs of foul play in the incident.
Jawai added that further investigations would be conducted to ascertain the exact cause of the child’s death.
The case is being classified as a sudden death.
