TAIPING: As single-use plastic items are now a public concern, bottled water brand owners, plastic manufacturers and the government should work together to produce non-plastic water bottles in the future, Spritzer Bhd Research and Development director Dr Chuah Chaw Teo said.

All parties, he said, have to sit together to find the best solution for alternatives for plastic.

“We are very concerned about this matter and are ready to help educate the public towards a better environment,” he told reporters during a media visit to Spritzer’s factory in conjunction with the Kembara Media Perak 2019 programme.

The programme, organised by Malaysian Information Department (JaPen) from June 28 to July 1, saw the participation of 23 media practitioners to promote Perak and to clarify the state’s current issues to the public. – Bernama
