LABUAN: A young psychiatrist at Labuan Hospital tragically lost his life in a fatal accident at Jalan Kampung Bukit Kalam early this morning.
The deceased identified as Dr Harivin Loganathan, was in his 20s and had just served in the Specialist Clinic 1 of Psychiatry and Mental Health Unit for about six months.
He was riding his motorcycle and believed to be on his way to work when the mishap occurred at about 8 am.
Details surrounding the accident are still emerging, but preliminary reports suggest that Dr Harivin’s motorcycle was involved in a collision with an Axia car, resulting in his instantaneous demise.
The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation, as authorities work diligently to piece together the events leading up to this tragic incident.
