WASHINGTON: Former US president Donald Trump said he will go to Georgia’s Fulton County on Thursday to be arrested over a perfect phone call and due to a witch-hunt coordinated with President Joe Biden’s administration, reported Sputnik.

“Can you believe it? I’ll be going to Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday to be ARRESTED by a Radical Left District Attorney, Fani Willis, who is overseeing one of the greatest Murder and Violent Crime DISASTERS in American History.

“In my case, the trip to Atlanta is not for ‘Murder,’ but for making a PERFECT PHONE CALL! She campaigned, and is continuing to campaign, and raise money on, this WITCH HUNT.

“This is in strict coordination with Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ. It is all about ELECTION INTERFERENCE!” Trump said in a Truth Social post on Monday.

Trump’s surrender date was negotiated with the district attorney’s office over bond and conditions of release, media reported earlier.

Earlier on Monday, the court set Trump’s bail at US$200,000 and restricted him from speaking with co-defendants and witnesses about the case. Trump has been indicted by a Georgia grand jury over alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. – BERNAMA-SPUTNIK
