MIRI: Two houses, including one erected under the Hardcore Poor People Housing Project (PPRT), in Desaras Tudan here were destroyed in a fire on Wednesday evening.
Lopeng Fire Station operations commander, Terry Robson said seven personnel in a fire engine rushed to the scene after they received an emergency call at 6.18pm.
“Upon arrival, we see the flames have already engulfed both houses. However, no casualties were reported,” he said, adding that they were assisted by seven personnel from Miri fire station.
He said the cause of fire and estimated losses were still under investigation.
