DALAT: Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah handed out minor rural project (MRP) grants to two organisations here on Friday.
The recipients were the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) St Jude, Kampung Kekan, and Dalat District Education Office.
Fatimah, who is also Dalat assemblywoman, said that the grants aimed to help finance the school in organising athletic competitions.
“For the Dalat District Education Fund, it is to partly finance the expenses of sending the Mukah Division School Sports Council (MSS) contingent to participate in state-level MSS Athletic Championship which will be held in Sarikei this year,” she said during her visit and inspection of the progress of Phase Two of the RM4.1million Dalat Riverfront project here.
She hoped that the project would be completed on time and could be used for the Sago Carnival and Dalat Regatta which will take place in July.
