MIRI: Fire razed two squatter houses at Jalan Tandas Awam in Batu Niah yesterday evening.
Miri Fire and Rescue Department chief Supt Law Poh Kiong confirmed, however, the fire did not cause any casualty or injuries.
He said a fire engine from Miri fire station carrying 10 firefighters led by PBK II Mahamud Punya was rushed to the scene at 8.48pm.
Sometime later the Batu Niah fire volunteer squad also appeared on the scene to help douse the blaze.
The actual cause of the fire is not immediately known as investigations are underway.
