Khirul had hit his mother with the mop handle until she sustained injuries on her head and forehead.

The accused did so because his mother refused to give him money.
Khirul also threw a butcher knife at his mother but she managed to avoid it. He also threatened to kill her.

She later lodged a police report for further action.

Khirul was suspected of being under the influence of drugs at the time.
