KUCHING: Head of state Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud on Wednesday (Mar 23) joined fellow Muslims for the breaking of fast, Maghreb, Isak and Tarawih prayers on the first day of Ramadan.

The prayer service at the Astana Mosque was led by Imam Besar Sarawak, Datuk Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi.

Among those who attended the prayer service were the staff members of Tabung Baitumal Sarawak, Islamic Development Department Sarawak (JAKIM) Kuching Port Authority (KPA), Padawan Municipal Council (MPP), Normah Medical Centre, Sarawak Government Pensioners’ Association members and community leaders from Kampung Lintang and Kampung Sg Bedil.
