MIRI: Upon their return from Limbang today (Mar 10), Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, opted for local delicacies ‘Lelapan Bawal’ and ‘Lelapan Kambing’ for their lunch at a restaurant at the Miri waterfront.

The couple’s arrival at noon was met with a warm reception by the Minister for Transport, Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, Deputy Minister for Utility and Telecommunication II (Utility), Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, Miri Resident Jamalie Busri, Deputy Mayor of Miri, Cr Ariffin Mohamad, and community leaders.

Their presence attracted attention from bystanders, whom Wan Junaidi and his wife graciously acknowledged as they entered the restaurant, where they spent close to an hour.

Later in the evening they will attend the moon sighting event at Pusat Falak Miri, Luak Esplanade, in preparation for the upcoming fasting period.
