KUCHING: All major events in conjunction with Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud birthday will be postponed.
State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki said events scheduled to be held from Oct 13 to 15 will be postponed to a later date.
Despite the postponement, Oct 14 remained gazetted as the Head of State’s 87th birthday celebration and the date will still remain as a public holiday for Sarawak, he said in a statement.
