KUCHING: Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar’s broad experience in the nation’s administration has made him an asset for Sarawak and the country said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

Fadillah expressed gratitude to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah for appointing Wan Junaidi as the eighth Sarawak Yang di-Pertua Negeri.

“I believe the appointment was made based on his (Wan Junaidi) extensive experience, who had served in the Parliament as a minister for a long time in various ministries.

“In doing so, he has contributed significantly to the state and the nation as a whole. Therefore, I consider his experience as an asset for Sarawak, hence making him suitable as the TYT,” he said.

He was speaking to the reporters after officiating at the Al-Qamar Marapati silat court
and the Sarawak Silat Art Association (PSSSS) Tanjak Serinding Awan usage proclamation at Amanah Khairat Yayasan Budaya Melayu Sarawak (AKYBMS), Rumah Laksamana Muda, Jalan Rodway here today.
