Kota Samarahan is known as Sarawak’s knowledge and medical centre since it is home to various educational institutions, including Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Universiti Teknologi MARA Kota Samarahan Campus, and others.

Many students from various states come to Kota Samarahan to attend lectures, providing opportunity for businessmen to attract these students’ interest.

Kota Samarahan is best regarded in Sarawak as a foodie haven with a wide range of delectable cuisine.

Unihaus in Desa Ilmu has quickly become one of the top places to eat in the area for students.

It serves delectable dishes such as western, dessert, and local foods, broadening the menu options for customers.

According to Rusdi Jaka, 21, a Unihaus employee, this shop has been open since 2018.

It is open from 2pm until 10pm. The majority of customers will visit Unihaus between 7pm and 8pm, which is the busiest time for Unihaus employees.

Customers can choose from a number of scrumptious meals, including western food, which is popular with some, and local cuisine, which is popular with others who like traditional food.

The sweet and mouth-watering dessert that comes next makes the meal more interesting. UNIHAUS ICE CREAM is a must-try treat!

What’s more amazing is the affordable pricing for such generous portions. Unihaus’ food is geared towards students and is fairly priced. It benefits the few students who want to eat good food at a reasonable price.

Aside from that, Unihaus attracts customers’ attention not just through its interesting menu, but also through its visually appealing shop decoration.

Its aesthetically pleasing shop puts customers at ease while dining. Every wall has fascinating graffiti to photograph. The decoration of the shop is also rather interesting, as it is not found in typical stores.

The majority of the decorations in the Unihaus store are built from recycled things such as lamps, sinks, and other household items. This uniqueness is what attracts students to Unihaus to dine while taking pictures.

Students’ photos shot and uploaded on social media indirectly help to promote Unihaus as the best spot to eat in Kota Samarahan.

Unihaus also has a Facebook page, with 34k likes and 36 follows as of today. Customers can visit the page to find out about the most recent Unihaus news as well as all of the menu options.

The eatery also gets viral on TikTok despite the fact that it does not have a TikTok account. This is because TikTokers are actively sharing the deliciousness of its menu.

Unihaus has about 30 employees. Each of them is capable of providing outstanding service to all customers. All customer orders can be filled quickly even during peak hours.

Many of the employees are students enrolled in higher education institutions. They were hired as part-time employees. The eatery has initiated this effort to support these students who are having financial difficulties.

Unihaus also provides door-to-door delivery through Foodpanda and GrabFood. This delivery service is offered in response to an increased customer demand for Unihaus food delivery. Delivery motorcycles are parked in front of the eatery, ready to take customers’ orders and bring them to their homes.

Most college students do not own a car, and some students are so preoccupied with their lectures that they don’t have time to order food from the cafeteria.

However, by using these delivery services, students can enjoy Unihaus meals without having to leave the house.

Apart from Unihaus in Desa Ilmu, there are additional branches open, such as Zainab Foodcourt in Kota Sentosa.

Because of the high population density in Kota Sentosa, the Unihaus branch is strategically located next to CS Market, making it an ideal location to operate.

The recently opened branch is now located at Fauziah Foodcourt in Metrocity. This branch also opened in early November of this year, as stated on its official Facebook page.

Unihaus branches in Kota Sentosa and Metrocity, on the other hand, open a little later than those in Kota Samarahan, which are open from 4pm to 11pm.

The eatery plans to expand its operations throughout Malaysia. Even though it is still in the planning phases, Unihaus plans to open another branch in Kelantan as a step ahead in its branch expansion.

Companies like this should be expanded in our country. Unihaus is still able to provide a diverse menu at a fair price while also helping a handful of these students earn extra money. Other businesses should emulate Unihaus’ distinctiveness.
