UniMy to go global

KOTA SAMARAHAN: Global integrated engineering solutions provider, Serba Dinamik Group Bhd is planning to position its acquisition of University Malaysia of Computer Science and Engineering (UniMy) as a premier higher learning institution and expanding it globally soon.

Its chairman Datuk Abdul Kadier Sahib said UniMy will be expanded and positioned as a new landmark in Abu Dhabi.

“The project would form part of Block 7’s initiatives to create a global incubator for the advancement of innovators for the technology, property, financial as well as energy sectors,” he said in his opening address at the launching ceremony of D-Virtual Park in Jalan Meranek here on Monday (Oct 12).

Abdul Kadier said SDHG had secured the 455,000sqm project with a RM7.71 billion contract value covering three areas of interest, namely the innovation hub, academic campus and accommodation.

“The facilities that are to be built into this project shall incorporate the elements of frontier technology such as AI-Robot Interaction, Mixed Reality environment, Smart Nation technologies and more,” he added.

He also said Serba Dinamik will develop a series of data centres across the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region that will support activities in Abu Dhabi and also provide services to the rest of the Gulf Corporation Council (GCC).

“Apart from the award project from Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Serba Dinamik was also awarded with a project to develop a series of data centres across the Mena region.

“The project aims to address the growing need in the market, due to the emergence of cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, internet of things (IoT) and big data analytics,” he said.
