TANJONG MANIS: The planned upgrade of the Tanjong Manis night market is set to bring substantial advantages to small traders in the Tanjong Manis constituency, including Bandar Baru Tanjong Manis, Rajang, Jerijih, and Belawai.
Tanjong Manis MP Yusuf Abdul Wahab highlighted the project’s value of RM500,000, aimed to enhance the condition of the existing night market by introducing 40 additional stall lots, offering greater comfort to the traders.
“The upgraded facilities provide a safer and more secure environment for the night market traders to conduct their businesses,” he said during the opening ceremony of the night market recently.
Yusuf also emphasised the importance of cleanliness and hygiene measures for all traders. “The traders are reminded to maintain the quality of their products, and encouraged to wear hats, gloves, or aprons when necessary.”
In addition, he called upon local authorities to provide adequate waste disposal facilities and essential amenities such as clean water.
