KUCHING: An Ustaz who came to Simpang Tiga police station was arrested for molesting his pupils.
Sarawak Head CID SAC Denis Leong confirmed that the
55-year-old was arrested when he was asked to come to the police
station yesterday morning at 11am.
A worried mother made a report against the school Ustaz who has been molesting her daughter and her classmates who are in Primary One.
The mother from Semariang Padi, Petra Jaya called the Education Department to have the Ustaz removed as this was the second time she lodged a police report.
She said her seven-year-old daughter was left traumatised after the last incident which occurred at 1pm on Tuesday.
She said the Ustaz suddenly hugged her daughter from behind and she struggled against him.
Instead, the Ustaz got angry, pinched her daughter’s nose and threw her school bag on the floor, causing her daughter to cry. She said the Ustaz warned his class not to talk about the incident.
As at press time, the Ustaz was still in detention for questioning.
