SIBU: The University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) School of Business and Management (SBM), Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) programme, invited the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) Sibu, to host a tax education talk recently.

The talk, titled ‘Rahsia Jimat Cukai Tahun Taksiran 2023’ in conjunction with the Sahabat Hasil programme on March 6, was presented by LHDN officer Abdul Hakim Hussien and his team.

UTS, in a Facebook post on Monday (March 11), said the talk aimed to emphasise the relevance of individual tax planning and ensure tax compliance.

“Participants get to post their questions during the Question and Answer (Q & A) session and have them answered by LHDN officers.

“The highlight of the talk was a Kahoot quiz session arranged by LHDN. The top 20 and top 5 players who answered the questions the fastest and correctly received special rewards from LHDN.”

They hope that the event has provided insightful information to the participants for their future tax planning.
