PUSA: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Kampung Tuie branch  distributed donations to 350 homes in the village yesterday in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul celebration which will be celebrated tomorrow.

Its chief councillor Suib Pa’iee said the PBB branch was grateful to be able to share the contributions (from the state government) with the locals.

“Usually, the Maulidur Rasul celebration in the villages here will be filled with feasts but due to Covid-19, we have to postpone all events for the safety of all.

“Therefore, using the funds allocated by the state government to Saribas assemblyman Mohd Razi Sitam, we (PBB Kampung Tuie branch) have agreed to distribute live chicken and two-kilogrammes of cooking oil to each household in this village,” he said.

In the meantime, Suib also urged all Muslims in Sarawak to comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) that have been set during the Maulidur Rasul celebration this year.
