Water supply restored in Tedungan

LIMBANG: Water supply has been fully restored and stabilised in the Tedungan and Upstream Tedungan Area after the completion of previous repair works.

The Northern Region Water Board (LAKU) in collaboration with Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department’s (JBALB) has provided assistance to residents in the affected area.

This includes supplying 425,000 litres of treated water and 1,264 boxes of bottled drinking water.

“All water tankers and water pick-up points will stop operations in the affected area.

“Our staff will continue to monitor the situation to ensure the water supply remains stable and reliable,” LAKU said in a statement.

Furthermore it said that water may appear turbid or murky immediately after restoration due to the repair works.
