KUCHING: Hope Place donated a water tank to Am’shah Seman, a father of six, as a gift for Father’s Day.

According to Hope Place founder Kelvin Wan, their car was unable to reach Am’shah’s house due to the muddy road.

“Our team had to walk on foot for ten minutes to reach the house.

“When we reached the house, Am’shah already left for work, so his wife, Sinawati Abdullah, greeted us.

“Her face lit up with joy when she saw the water tank,” he said in a press statement.

Wan also expressed his gratitude to two donors — Great Vision Advisory Group for sponsoring the water tank, and Jimmy Tan for helping in terms of transportation.

Currently, Hope Place has taken care of more than 190 needy families.

Their opening hours are from 8.30am to 5.30pm from Mondays until Fridays, and 8.45am to 12pm on Saturdays.

Those who wish to make a donation can do so to Persatuan Kebajikan Harapan Kuching with the bank account number 5112-8900-1160 (Maybank).
