KUCHING: The World Fitness Federation (WFF) has held its first fitness competition in Borneo.

WFF is an international bodybuilding organisation formed in 1968. It promotes classic or athletic bodybuilding with a focus on the aesthetic quality of the physique as opposed to just muscularity.

WFF Borneo vice-president Deborah Dawson Chong said that she was confident that new talents would emerge and grow over time.

“We are creating more opportunities for athletes in the world of fitness and bodybuilding to be more active not just locally but also having an international fitness brand on their own home ground,” she said.

“As an international fitness platform, athletes now are able to compete internationally through WFF in Borneo, as Singapore was usually as chosen international platform to compete.”

Sunky Wang was the winner of the Women’s Bikini Model category while Grace Toh, a newcomer to the WFF Borneo, won the Women’s Sports Model at Penview Convention Centre on Nov 29.
