Limbang is now green, says Uggah

KUCHING: There was no Covid-19 positive case reported yesterday and Limbang Division was elevated from yellow to green zone.

This means the state had no positive cases reported for two consecutive days.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah said there are six recoveries and they had been discharged from hospital.

“Of these cases, four were treated at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) and there was one each in Miri Hospital and Sibu Hospital,” he said during his daily Covid-19 press conference at the Old State Legislative Assembly (DUN) building yesterday.

He said the number of recoveries was 375 which made up 69.06 percent of the total number of cases.

Uggah, who is also the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman, said there were 94 more persons under investigation (PUI) cases recorded, and 23 PUI cases were still awaiting laboratory test results.

He said 150 cases were currently being treated at the hospitals, with one case each treated at the intensive care unit (ICU) and needed respiratory assistance.
